Activities in winter

ALPINE SKIING
The Olympiaregion Seefeld has a small yet superb selection of alpine ski areas boasting 48 kilometres of slopes and some 30 cable-cars and lifts. The Bergbahnen Rosshütte, the largest of the ski areas, features the “Rosshütten-Express”, for example – a high-speed 6-seater chairlift with heated seats – which whisks passengers effortlessly up to the sunny slopes at an altitude of over 2,000 metres.

WINTER HIKING
During the winter months too, the Olympiaregion Seefeld offers a haven for walking and hiking enthusiasts. Nestling amidst a breathtakingly beautiful snow-covered landscape are 142 km of cleared and gritted trails.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The 5 villages that make up the Olympiaregion Seefeld have, for many years now, been providing cross-country skiing facilities and conditions that are unparalleled anywhere else in Europe. Our network of trails offers a veritable haven for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts.

NORDIC WALKING
Nordic walking is all the rage as a form of exercise and it is just as ideally suited to absolute sport novices as it is to experienced athletes. Few other sports are as effective while, at the same time, being free of risks and simple for everyone to pick up. This gentle endurance sport is, furthermore, easy on the joints and, thanks to the use of poles, it offers an excellent full-body workout.
